Friday, Sept 27th - Students, Vendors and Volunteers Only

8 am Festival office opens

1 pm Vendor set-up begins

7:30 pm Vendor set-up ends


                                                    Sheep Shearing School: Friday, September 27 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Instructors will teach the sheep shearing pattern, discuss animal and wool handling techniques and more. The $125 registration fee covers your copy of a national sheep shearing manual and lunch.

Saturday Sept 28th - Open To The Public - shopping and classes

7 am Festival office opens

7 - 8:45 am Vendor set-up

9 am - 12 pm Morning Fiber Classes

9 am Vendor Halls open,

Hospitality Area opens

Hospitality? What's That?

The Hospitality Area  is where our contests are held and judged, "Sit and Knit" , catch your breath and have a coffee or tea. This area open to public - join us!.

All of the door prizes from our Vendors are on display here and may be collected here if you win! 

Donations Accepted for Coffee and Tea

9-11 am Drop off items for the "Showcase your festival projects" contest in Hospitality

12-2:30 pm Voting for the "Showcase your festival projects" contest in Hospitality

1-4 pm Afternoon Fiber Classes

4 pm Winners announced for the "Showcase your festival projects" contest; pick up entries in Hospitality

5 pm Vendor booths and Hospitality close

6 pm Vendor Dinner (2 people from each vendor booth are invited)


Fall Field Day: Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Not held at fairgrounds - see below
Speakers: Michigan State University's Small Ruminant Specialist and a representative of Byron Seeds LLC
Topics include:

  • Grazing and sheep economics
  • Maximizing pasture seeding mixes
  • Fencing
  • Tour one intensive grazing model
  • Lunch will be served, so please RSVP before September 27
