Northern Michigan Lamb & Wool Festival 2019 Vendor Rules

Set up: Friday 1-9 pm. no early birds and Sat.7:30, Sun 8:30 Sales Dates: September 28 & 29 2019
Vendor access: Doors will be open for Vendors at 0730 on Saturday and 0830 on Sunday
Public access: Sale hours Saturday 9-5 Sunday 10-4
Vendor tear down: Tear down does not begin until 4:01pm on Sunday. Vendors tearing down prior to this time will not be allowed back for future shows. All vendors must clear the buildings by 7 pm on Sunday. Extra expenses will be incurred for vendors who do not adhere to this rule.
Eligibility: Products offered for sale are to fall within the following categories: Fiber and related supplies, embellishments, tools and equipment, sheep management items. The festival committee reserves the right to decline a vendor at our own discretion.
Booth Fee: $70 per 10 x 10 foot booth. One table and two chairs per booth space are provided. More chairs may be requested if available. Electricity is available to most booths; bring your own extension cords and tape.
Vendor booths may NOT be transferred to anyone without the pre-approval of the Vendor Chair. This must be done prior to the event or it will not be allowed. If approved, this does not guarantee a booth for the following year to any but the original vendor.
Vendor donations: Donations of merchandise are accepted and help attendees become aware of your products. Please attach your business name to your donation. You may bring your donation to the office or give it to the volunteer who will come around on Saturday morning with a receipt book to make it easier. Please note: Your donations are tax deductible/receipts will be given. Donations may be used for either door prizes or contest prizes. Deadlines: Payment should be received no later than August 15. If paid after this date, late fees apply unless you are on our waiting list and are not contacted until this time.
Please note cancellations after September 1 are not eligible for refunds.
Please be aware open booth spaces will be filled as payment is received, no spaces will be held without payment AND receipt of vendor application. (application is online at website for printing or electronic submission).
Late fees: Applications postmarked after August 15th must include an additional late fee. After Aug. 15 include $5 late fee. If postmarked after Sept. 1, include $10 late fee.
Payment may be made by cash, check, or money order. You may pay using PayPal at the website.
Make check or money order out to NML&WF. To pay by "regular: mail send to: NMLWF Jeanie Prentice, 950 W. State Rd., West Branch, MI 48661 A receipt will be mailed in return, please keep your receipt.
Booth spaces for the following year must be paid prior to the end of the festival, after Sunday night, any unpaid booth space will be available for new vendors, please be aware we must pay for our rent next year before the end of the festival. Spaces are assigned on a first paid, first reserved basis. If you would like to ensure your space for next year, you should pay before leaving. After October 1, 2019, all unpaid spaces will be open for assignment which will be made by the Vendor Chair to fit building layout.
Sales Tax: Each vendor is responsible for collection and payment of any and all Michigan sales tax.
Vendor Liability: Vendors accept full responsibility for any loss, injury, or damage to persons, property, or goods that may be sustained while on the premises.
Vendor Dinner: Two persons from each paid vendor space are invited to attend the Vendor Dinner Saturday night at 6 pm. Please indicate on your application how many (1 or 2) from your booth will attend the dinner.
Volunteers: Volunteers are available to help with the following: restroom relief, lunch and/or beverage ordering and delivery, and other occasional breaks during festival sale hours only. Please remember all of our work is volunteer and we hope to be as helpful as we can be but we have to extend our help to each of our vendors.
Rabbit Sales: Rabbits must be fiber (angora) rabbits. Limit of 12 rabbits maximum. All rabbits must be free of illness or they must be removed from the fairgrounds. Any rabbit from outside of Michigan must have a current health certificate. Rabbits must have food and water at all times. Minimum cage or carrier size should be 7”x14” per single adult rabbit, or 24”x24” for no more than three baby rabbits.
Please note, we have had complaints about rabbit odor. Because of this and rabbit urine on walls and floors as well as in other booths we can no longer allow rabbits in buildings. You may bring your own tent to set up outside for housing your rabbits. Space will be provided, you must bring your own tent.
Camping: The festival committee does not manage camping. You may pull in, select a campsite and set up. Please pay campground fees at the caretaker's house. If no one is there, a fair board member will be around to collect camping fees at some point. If you have questions, concerns, or comments regarding the campgrounds, please contact the caretaker or a fairground board member. Contact the fairgrounds at 1-989-345-5393 about camping only. Smoking: All buildings are smoke-free. We request smokers be at least 25 feet away from all building entrances, to keep smoke from drifting into the buildings.
Vendors who do not comply with these rules will not be allowed back for future shows.
